Chief Evaluator, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
Véronique Salze-Lozac’h has been appointed as the EBRD’s Chief Evaluator in 2021, responsible for leading the Bank’s Evaluation Department. She is an economist, with a strong evaluation background and over 30 years of experience working for both the public and the private sector on inclusive growth, private sector development, and policy reforms in Europe, Africa and Asia. She joined EBRD from ADB where she was the Deputy Director General, Independent Evaluation Department. Prior to that, she was Chief Economist at The Asia Foundation, where she supported Asian public and private initiatives to enhance economic governance for a more inclusive and sustainable development. Over the course of her career, she has held a range of positions in public and private institutions, focusing on development challenges. Véronique has published several articles on topics related to economic growth, private sector development, business environments and female economic empowerment in Asia.
