Subhransu Pattnaik is a Research Analyst with the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), New Delhi. His research focuses on financial inclusion, climate resilient agriculture, and gender dimension in agriculture. He manages the research program that aims to strengthen agricultural insurance and credit in Odisha through picture-based crop insurance, using smartphone images of targeted crops to monitor crop health and management. Subhransu holds a master’s degree from the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester in the UK.
