Mr. Koji Fujiya is Director General, Evaluation Department in Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Mr. Fujiya previously served as Director General of East and Central Asia and the Caucasus Department in JICA headquarter and originally proposed to conduct the analysis on JICA’s cooperation to China after 40 years implementation. As an overseas experiences, Mr. Fujiya has 8 years working career in Beijing, China. Firstly, Mr.Fujiya was in charge of the technical cooperation projects in the field of agricurture and forestry in early 90's. Secondly, Mr.Fujiya was assinged as Deputy Resident Representative of JICA China office and conducted overall management both inside and outside office from 2002 to 2007. Based on these experiences, Mr.Fujiya has demonstrated an excellent ability in formation and implementation of many development projects and currently leads Evaluation Department in JICA.

Sven Harten

Sven Harten is Deputy Director at DEval – German Institute for Development Evaluation - and heading the Competence Centre for Evaluation Methodologies. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the LSE and has more than 20 years of experience in designing, implementing and managing evaluations in the field of development cooperation. Main evaluation themes are currently climate change adaptation, financial cooperation (especially blended finance), private sector (MSME) as well as evaluation criteria, quality and standards. Previously, Sven worked at the World Bank (IFC), the European Commission as well as evaluation consultancy firms. He lived more than 10 years in developing countries (Africa and Latin America).
