Maya Vijayaraghavan

Maya Vijayaraghavan advises on evaluation methods and leads knowledge management initiatives at the Independent Evaluation Department (IED) of the Asian Development Bank. In her previous role, she led IED’s evaluation capacity development initiatives for internal and external stakeholders. She also led the Secretariat of the 2019 and 2020 Asian Evaluation Week in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute. Maya was previously a Lead Economist with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, where she led impact and economic evaluations of international health programs at global, regional, and country levels. Early in her career, she was an econometrician with the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. Maya has a PhD in applied economics.
